Won Bin’s Representatives Clarify: “No Involvement with Late Kim Sae-ron’s Funeral Beyond Paying Respects”

On May 9, a representative of Won Bin told Xports News, “Other than attending the funeral to express condolences, there is no involvement in any related matters.” This statement was made in response to a surprising mention of his name.

They claimed that a month before Kim Sae-ron’s death, an informant, identified as A, who was in New Jersey, USA, recorded numerous criminal activities involving Kim Soo-hyun with the late actress’s consent.

On May 1, A was allegedly attacked by two assailants who had crossed over from South Korea and China, being stabbed nine times in the neck with a weapon. Following this, a voice message from A’s wife was released.
A’s wife stated, “This case is under investigation in the United States, and while specific details cannot be revealed yet, the truth will definitely come out.” She also mentioned actor Won Bin, who had worked with Kim Sae-ron in the 2010 film “The Man From Nowhere” and had visited the funeral.

A’s wife shared, “At first, I didn’t know who he was. I didn’t know he was famous in Korea, but after seeing what he did, I understood. He quietly came to the funeral. He showed respect. That humanity meant more to us than we could have imagined. We are sincerely grateful.”
While she did not specify which actions of Won Bin she was referring to, Won Bin’s side expressed that they did not wish to reproduce issues related to the late Kim Sae-ron, but also drew a line with A’s unclear statements.
